Very wide, big, and crowded in the summer, Lenina Square is definitely dedicated to the great revolutionary leader: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. Expect to see concerts from time to time there as well as street shows.

One of my favourite places in Novosibirsk, Ploshad' Lenina. Great place to relax on one of the benches if the weather is nice or go get tickets to see Russian Ballet! Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is right there!

This apparently is where everyone hangs out on a nice evening. Includes the mandatory Lenin statue, the nearby opera house, and lots of open space. Surprised to see so many skateboards.

A stop at Lenin square is an absolute must for all first-time visitors of Novosibirsk. Have a stroll around, also on the other side of the busy street passing by.

Interesting square with nice statues next to the Opera, but nothing to go out of your way to get to. But if you are walking by, you should make a short stop!

Basic square with a statue of Lenin you find in almost every soviet city. Nice parks near the square and easy to get to by metro. Good place to get a few photos. There are nice small shops near the metro entrance in the tunnel.
