Thank goodness they got an expert in to advise that this church was a unique style, so not to be demolished and renovations have revealed a few quaint paintings original on the building side. The rock in the little Pagoda also shows the original fortress...More

It is the oldest stone church in the East Siberia. Around the church there is a beautiful park to rest and relax as well as the banks of the Angara river.

Just one of the many photo ops that was along our foot journey around Irkutsk. There's a outdoor history gallery nearby with 'walls' of information. Do stop for a wealth of information. Recommended!

We loved this place. People inside looks very nice and gently. we met there our first Russian father-friend lol. his name is "odes Gafrila". He invited us to his home and we ate Russian soups for symbolic price and he sold us very tasty homemade...More
