Good place to visit when you are in Kazan

Place full of life. Good restaurants, bar and entertainment. I visit this place almost everyday when I am in Kazan. Quite refreshing!

Smiles can be found here, although I travelled alone. Street shows, nice shops and welcoming cafes make this street full of life!

The Bauman Pedestrian Street is filled with shops - ranging from souvenir shops, to ethnic Tatar restaurants, to bars and fast-food joints. Along the street is the iconic monument of the Carriage of Catherine II, as well as the monument of the Kazan Cat.

Maybe we visited at the wrong time of the year, February when clouds are just over you and the street is almost empty... We visited twice, during the day and during the night, both times were a disappointment: in the day it was like an empty Arbat with no soul, in the night a drunk hole place which cheap sexy... More

Walking along Bauman street is always fun) it can be unpredictable -crowded in the day time and somehow slow and quiet in the mornings. Lots of cafes and restaurants to keep you warm and lots of options to try new food.

This place is also important for tourist. Here you can walk and explore the ancient architecture of the 19th century - a look in the Volga city. Also there are many shops and restaurants.

This is the main tourist walking strip in Kazan. If you speak English it is a little hard to know what all the shops are. There any many shops selling tourist items, some clothing shops, high end Russian brands and lower budget, and cafes and restaurants. Even a McDonalds and KFC! Some of the buildings are beautiful with historical significance.... More

Nice pedestrian street in Kazan full of cafes, bars and souvenir shops. Had lunch at a very nice Tatar restaurant about halfway down the street. Lively with street musicians during both daytime and night-time. Friendly and safe.
