This museum was worth the two hours we spent . The art work and exhibits were filled with history and were beautiful.

It's a huge museum with a huge collection from russian paintings through various decades or centuries. You even find works of Malewich and Jawlensky and others. In the upper level there is also a gallery for temporary shows of contemporative art.

I have not expected such a great collection not in the capital. The best of the best Russian artists of 18-20 century, plus icons.

Although the museum is not very much adapted for the foreigners' visits it's worth seeing. Not recommended for people who don't know Russian language, no body speaks English their to help out, also all the signs and information are written in Russian, only very few English cards, it is a problem of many places in Russia, but for cultural attraction...More
