Costumes, scenery, music, and up to 30 dancers on stage... 2h45 of dream and evasion. With kids, think about bringing something like a seat booster though, i had my 8 year old on my lap for the whole show so he could enjoy it

If you’re interested, don’t bother with a tour — go to a performance. Note that the bars only take cash, if you want a glass of wine during intermission. Also don’t confuse the original Mariinsky (1860) with “Mariinsky II” (2013) the beautiful new state-of-the-art theater...More

"Old" Mariinskiy is a great experience, but the ticket price has gone up in the last few years, pricing many locals out of the market. I've been there many times and it's starting to get a little bit of a "tourist show". That much said...More

Dear Fellow Traveller - Unfortunately there are no tours for the public. You need to possess a ticket for a running show to enter and witness the grandeur of the theatre.
