This church with its spire is a stunning landmark. The church is the final resting place of many Tsar's. Beautiful decor of green and gold. The church has an amazing history. Definitely a must stop in your tour.

A visit to the cathedral alone is not justified in my opinion but if you are already exploring the Peter and Paul Krepost then you should stop by. The tickets for the cathedral can be purchased separately like all the other sites at the krepost....More

Peter & Paul Cathedral is the tallest building in St Petersburg's historic area and is the focal point of the Fortress. This beautiful Cathedral dates to the 1720s. Many of the Romanov tsars are buried in the Cathedral, including the last rulers Nicholas & Alexandra.

The reason most people visit this cathedral is because it is where the Tsars and their families are buried. The cathedral is in the Peter and Paul Fortress. It was a nice stopover, but if you have limited time, visit some of the other cathedrals...More
