I cannot give this place more than 1 point for the reason that I wasn't let in. The man looking after the mosque informed me I can't enter because I'm not Muslim (he knew because I didn't greet him in Arabic). This ridiculous. I've visited...More

One of the most largest mosque in Europe part of Russia, it can accomodate up to 5000 people.It's replicate of the Imam Bukhari's mausoleum in Samarkand, Uzbekishtan

Passed by the Great Mosque of St Petersburg on my way to Zayachiy Island. I got off at Gorkovskaya Metro and walked passed the mosque.

as far as not being religious goes, and not really being into churches etc, this building is well worth a look IF you are in the area, its by a nice park in a quiet part of the city.
