I walked past the Cruiser Aurora whilst in St Petersburg and on the same day as visiting the Peter and Paul Fortress. This happened to be a Monday, as the Peter and Paul Fortress is one of the few attractions open on a Monday. But...More

Apparently Aurora fired the blank round that signalled the storming of the winter palace in 1917. She is very well maintained and has a very good series of exhibits below decks. Well worth a visit.

Real Man-of-war, battleship that you can get in, walk and touch. Read brief history to get real feeling of military history. And also years ago this ship had been recognized as a “start button” for the communism era in former USSR
