A statue of Peter I - a good one, and in a corner of a nice park that is worthwhile strolling through. Close to St Isaac's Cathedral.

This is standing on two legs on a stone. One goes past and worth the time to stop and take that photo.

A devotional statue with little connectto actual fact as depicted from other sources but nevertheless an impressive heroic ornament. It is situated at the end of the square just across the road from the Neva where the Decembrists made their forlorn and futile protest to...More

This monument is almost mesmerizing. It took so much time to conceive and to execute, and one can only wonder at the sights it has "seen" over the years. I have spent hours by this monument on my several trips to Saint Petersburg.

There is nothing much to see other than the pic as shown against the name.. Can be completely skipped for a special visit.. While traveling in the city this can be easily seen on the way only..

An important monument in an historically important part of the city. Both Peter and his horse are poised for action. Design happens to allow for many excellent photo angles. Of course, free to enjoy.

The Bronze Horseman, Monument To Peter I was one of the first attractions we saw in St. Petersburg. It is quite impressive and does the Russians proud.

Close to Saint Isaac's Cathedral, on the bank of the Neva River, this iconic statue honors Peter the Great. Catherine the Great wanted to cement a connection for herself to Peter the Great (probably because she was actually from Germany), and so had this statue...More
