An outstanding, huge museum with art from all over the world - plan on several hours and it is a top-shelf experience.

Absolutely fabulous museum. It’s hard to see everything so prioritize what’s important for you. And you’re likely to get lost! But the map helps and rooms are numbered! Try lovely cafe with fresh sandwiches/cakes downstairs. The modern collection (Impressionists and more) is across in another...More

Great place to walk from city, near by Neva-River. Huge buildings, entrance fee is very cheap. Worth to visit.

We expected great things, we arrived early and queued up to get our tickets . We dashed off and enjoyed the lower ground floor without seeing another human. We had bought tickets for the gold and diamond guided tour. This was good value for us...More

This is one of those museum that you can say was one of the best in the world. The highlights in the museum are quite extensive and I found no lows in viewing the exhibits here. DO-THIS! It is a MUST-SEE!

our tour guide said that the Hermitage ranks among the top museums in the world. He was not mistaken! This museum is grand and has such a vast collection that it requires five buildings to put just a small portion of their collection on display.

This is a once in a lifetime experience. What a collection! And the palace itself is awe inspiring. If you don't have a lot of time, recommend a tour guide.

Beautiful, extravagant - more velvet and gold than I would have imagined could fit in one place. The downside would be the lack of English speaking staff and information in English. It's quite difficult finding the proper way to enter the museum, and you'll find...More

To do this museum justice you truly need to spend several days here. We only had three hours for this visit because we came off a cruise ship that stopped in St. Petersburg for only two days. Gained admission with no waiting in lines (thanks...More
