I didn't find anything about this square to be worth a detour, at least not to visit the square. If it weren't for the Pushkin statue, there's be nothing at all noteworthy about this piece of real estate.

The statue is located inside a park just in front of the Russian Museum and within short distance from Spilled Blood Cathedral. Many tourists visited various museums around this Art Square and rest on the benches around and watch this statue.

This tourist attraction in St Petersburg turned out to be just a few hundred feet from the hotel I was staying in, the Grand Hotel L'Europe. Great place for a photograph with the statue of Alexander Pushkin in front of the Russian Museum.
