Immanuel Kant's final resting place

Originally, Kant was buried inside the cathedral, but in 1880 his remains were moved outside and placed in a neo-Gothic chapel adjoining the northeast corner of the cathedral.

Modest grave of one of the greatest people in the world/ It is situated at the back of the Kaliningrad Cathedral and very popular place. Worth visiting.

There's nothing really that can be said about this, except that a stop by Kant's grave is a must for anyone who happens to travel to the city.

It's attached to the Cathedral anyway, so might as well walk around back and see the plain grave stone.

Kant's body may not be there, but surely his spirit hovers about the solemn Art Deco structure. It's a calm place; do drop by to think of the vagaries of history and the old man who, hopefully, has found perpetual peace. Note the ceiling has some color and seems to be more cheerful than the rest of the monument.

Immanuel Kant's Grave is situated on the back left hand corner of the Konigsberg Cathedral. He was a famous German philosopher who spent most of years living in the city. Nice parks and nice walks in the area. Quite a few spots of interest in the area also.

I had a short visit to Kaliningrad Cathedral, walking around the grounds, where you can see the tomb of Kant. Not really much to add to this, but it was a warm sunny afternoon and made a pleasant walk outside for myself and my friends.

Kant's grave site is on the outside of the Cathedral. It is a big block of stone with his name and the years that he lived on it. Unless you are a big Kant fan, you can easily skip it.

When you are on the Island and visiting Cathedral then you need to see this place. Don’t expect spectacular grave. Very simple stone surrounded by fence.
