One of my favourite places to visit in Moscow is GUM. Very clean, safe, big names with high prices attached (well deserved), the best ice cream and the most expensive pay public bathroom in Russia!

If you come here to see the wonderful architecture and get some ice cream...you are right. But if you try to fish for a bargain...no way! Enjoy the beauty, but shop at some other place. Prices are much to high.

What a beautiful, gorgeous shopping centre! Really impressive. There are a lot of shops and cafes/restaurants, and all the main brands. Staff and security are very polite. Definitely visit if you're in the area!

Yes, in the third aisle on ground level there is a large delicatessen. The black sturgeon caviar is hugely expensive but the red salmon caviar is more reasonably priced. The Russian for caviar is ‘Ikra’.
