Ivan the Great's Bell Tower should be the highest structure in Walled Kremlin and Cathedral Square. Upon the payment of entry fee, visitors are allowed to climb up the tall building to view the surrounding area. Next time, I should spare more time here to...More

From the top of the bell tower there is a great view on the Kremlin and Moscow. The climb is not very difficult.

Standing at the end of Cathedral Square, this Tower stands clear above the collection of Domes that surround Cathedral Square. One of a collection of buildings only accessible through a tour of the Kremlin, it forms an interesting marker for the Kremlin.

If you want, you can climb up to the bell but I hadn't known it before. Next time, I'll definitely climb up and enjoy the view over Kremlin.

This tower is located inside the Kremlin on Cathedral Square and is beautiful to look at with it's architectural inscriptions and bells surrounding the column. It is an additional payment to enter inside and only at certain times each day.

Until the 18th century the bell tower dominated the skyline of the Kremlin. It was first built in 1329 and was completed in a single summer. In 1505-08 a much larger building more than 55 meters high was built. Then Zsar Boris Godunov rebuilt it...More
