Beautiful place, nice theatre. Have seen there many great spectacles. Specially I love to go there in summer to pass this beautiful garden on the way, just in centre of Moscow.

I was watching a recently issued comedy Cherry Garden by Anton Chekhov. At least Chekhov insists this is a comedy. Excellent set of actors and actresses, good decorations. Though, buffet does not suggest variety of food. In somber you can visit an outer terrace in open air. A good place to visit with children.

Been here to see Jesus Christ Superstar and some interpretational things aside, it was great. The set is a bit tired but the cast surely is not, it was splendid and my mind was blown by the stellar singing performances. The theatre is located on Sadovoye ring, right next to the Tchaikovskiy concert hall and the Theatre of Satire. Its... More

I went there to see "Jesus Christ Superstar". An interesting performance, but I personally didn't quite like some of the turns there that were not in the original musical. My partner, who didn't know the original musical well, really liked the play and the acting, so her opinion is different. On the whole the place is worth going to, and... More

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighbourhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
