Your tour starts with a movie (approx. 30 minutes) about the history of Timisoara regarding Ceaucescu, communism and the protest against it. Great images are shown during this short movie. The museum has two floors and provides for a lot of information. Definately worth a...More

The Memorialul Revolutiei tells the stories of the 1989 overthrow of Ceausescu in photographs, art exhibits and films. It also has a chapel where one can say a prayer for those who died in the uprising. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and dedicated to their...More

What seems like an unimpressive place at first then really comes to life with an excellent introductory video about the 1989 revolution and then explanations of what can be seen from staff that are knowledgeable and proud, quite rightly, of what they have achieved here....More

This place it's in a very creepy and weird part of the town... I would not recommend getting even close of this objective. Was there and I has so many eyes on me. Also there are no advertise, guiding signs or so... Totally disrecommend.

This was a must see for me in the city that created the spark for the 1989 revolution and my expectations were high before I visited it. The film about the 1989 revolution that starts the exhibition is a powerful piece of video but moving...More

This museum is basically a collection of posters, pictures and children's drawings. About 15% of the exhibits have English subtitles (and the order of exhibits is seemingly random). There is a video that lasts 30 minutes with English subtitles. The video provides some context for...More
