There's a 5 lei fee for adults and a 10 lei fee for taking photos of the exterior, according to a sign outside the door, but there was no at the entrance so I just walked in. The exterior and design are similar to Humor Monastery but spectacular Last Judgment exterior is unique. The interior though is similar to Humor.... More

The monastery building us certainly not impressive. Many of the external frescoes are damaged. But the ones inside the building are beautiful. You can stay here about half an hour.

Try to visit early in the morning or late in the evening, if you are visiting like a place of worship and meditation. If you are not visiting like that, DON'T! IT IS NOT RECOMANDED FOR LOUD-MOUTH TOURISTS!!

If you get to this part of Romania (North), you definitively need to visit this monastery and its renown church. The secret of its blue color, that was painted 600 years, is still not found.

Voronet Monastery is a must see when you're visiting Bucovina. It's architecture and blue frescoes will catch your attention at once. Take a few minutes to admire the beauty of the surroundings.

"Breathe" history. It's a Very old monastery but well maintained. It's famous for the special colour on the walls called "The blue of Voronet". A quiet place in a peaceful area in winter but can be very crowded in spring and summer!

We went to Voronet Monastery on a snowy day, so the sights were fantastic. White and blue (voronet blue). At the entrance you can find a gift shop. You can buy also history books in english, german, italian and spanish. In the main church you will find a nun who is happy to guide you. The paintings are very beautiful... More

An absolute must. The century old frescoes are just marvellous. It's a wonder they still are there. Enjoy the calm and the rest.
