The ruins are nice to be visited, you can walk inside the old castle. The view on the other hand is beautifull, you can oversee the Mures River and Mures Valley enter the Pannonian Flats. You can hike thru Zarand Mountains on very well marked tourist roads up to the next castle ruin which is in Siria. Go for it.

the ruins are on a hill that must be climbed by foot but the view fro the top is amazing and worth every step on the way.

A Relaxing hike away from Lipova, the ruins are on the hills over the City and offer a splendid view over the river, the City and the surroundings

Recently connected to the national road, making accessible by car until close to the ruins, the Lipova ruins represent one of the oldest ruins in the area

Close to Arad, easy to reach - by car or train. It is situated on the hill, but it's not difficult to climb here, I think that everybody can do it. You can see from there panorama of city and river Mures. Nice to spend time with your family, kids or frends.

It is a beautiful place to visit, specially on a summer day, but you have to be a little fit to go there. If you don't have car, the easiest way to go is by hitchicking!!

Actually went on New Years Eve. The only economical transportation was a "personal" train which turned out to be an adventure. I was told I could see the ruins(which are actually in Radna) from the village but the whole place was fogged in. Two young college students gave me a lift in their car to the foot of the mountain...
