MacKenzie-Childs was born of our love of home and our commitment to fresh, innovative design. Founded in 1983, our humble beginnings started in the basement of Wallcourt Hall, a building built in 1909 as a dormitory for an all-girls prep school. Several years later, we moved to our present-day headquarters just up the road.

On a tranquil Victorian farm overlooking Cayuga Lake, we produce world-renowned home furnishings. Our designers and artisans have created beautiful products that add joy and grace to homes throughout the world. Colorful, handmade ceramics, enamelware, glassware, furniture, and home accessories define our collection.

You could spend hours in their store looking at the beauty and cleverness of each piece. The doll house itself takes 30 minutes to peruse. And the grounds! They have a "hen house" that we would move into in a flash. It's amazing.

I accompanied my wife to McKenzie-Childs in order for her to claim a gift from a promotion co-sponsored with a nearby Inn. No surprise that we also purchased something there, the only surprise being that I was the one who initiated the purchase. All of our business was ably and expertly processed by Sales Associate Shelly Norton. This is a... More

Absolutely incredible! They even have a gorgeous patio for husbands to wait while we shopped. A tour of the farm house was a highlight.

This place is well worth a visit. An interesting store/workshop on an old farmland that is just beautiful. We visited recently on a perfect fall day and enjoyed walking around outside as much as in. Fun to walk through store and see all the quirky furniture and decorative items. Can't say I would want a whole houseful but the few... More

We stopped by as a last minute decision. I realize that it may be a destination for most visitors. The folks who work there are inconsistent, some very nice and helpful while others fairly abrupt. The shop is quite a site and I highly recommend a visit just to be in awe of some of the pieces, esp the lamps... More

We stopped here during our recent trip to Aurora, NY and took our time exploring the grounds, browsing in the store and taking the farmhouse tour. Admission to the grounds and the tour is free, which is nice. There is also a free, short video about how the company's pottery and some of the furniture is made. The retail store... More

Let me start by saying that if you are in Aurora for a couple of days and you've enjoyed the scenery and gone for a swim, then you've just about exhausted the Aurora tourist attractions. That leaves MacKenzie-Childs. With an afternoon to spare on our bike tour, my son and I decided to get some extra bike miles and visit... More

I recently stopped for a visit at the Mackenzie Childs store following a lunch stop at the Aurora Inn. My 10 year old niece was in complete awe and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the shop. While prices are clearly out of range its worth a look see.
