One of the best city hall I ever seen. Clean and nice. Employees are friendly and accommodating. This is the first time that I travel here and it was very amazing

I had to go to court twice while I was in Iloilo City as part of an IP lawsuit we were pursuing. It is not memorable and I don't recommend it as a tourist attraction. It is a civic building with a bunch of plain rooms where the business of the law and government take place. It was entertaining to listen to the cases before us because it is different and yet similar to the US.

In this one-stop-shop building we can find the different government officer of the local city government. It has a mini museum at the first floor and a set of solar panels on top making it friendly to both the tourists and the environment. In its building apex rests the monument of Lin-ay Sg Iloilo (Lady of Iloilo) which was sculpted by local artist Ed Defensor. Th place is usually crowded with people having regular transaction. I expect that it will become so crowded and overused in the next years to come that an extended or additional city hall buildings may be needed to declog the area. In general, this city hall is something that every Ilonggo can be proud of.

This building houses the office of the city mayor and is one of the easily recognizable structures in the city (being in front of two locally famous spots: the Plaza Libertad and the San Jose Parish Church). This is where people come to transact business requiring government permits, etc. In itself, it is not really a tourist spot. There is nothing particularly interesting inside the building.

There was a long queue on the elevator to get to the 7th floor. Then you'll take stairs to get to the 8th floor where the rooftop is. It was very hot outside and mahangin SA taas. Nobody was there except us. You'll see the view of Guimaras and the building around the City Proper. We also tried the headdress for Dinagyang on the 3rd floor and it was a little heavy.

The new building locates opposite plaza libertad with city gallery on the first floor next to the left of main gate with interesting stories of iloilo city and its all ex-mayors. It's civil center near the river of iloilo.

you can see people from all walks of life in the city hall. aside from that, the building is also complete with all you need to see in a travel. a public desk office, a library, a museum, and a mess hall where they serve (i daresay) great food. ranging from ilonggo delicacies to fruits.

Surprised to see a new City Hall building in Iloilo City. I have been away for many years and only returned now. But more importantly, the government employees working there are efficient, helpful and friendly. No longer a place where your nerves are tested to limit when you try to process something. Crowded but transactions are facilitated as quickly as they can.

The new city hall has a mini-museum that showcases the history of Iloilo , the Dinagyang costume that one can put on for a photo shoot, the bust statues of mayors from different regime. The friendly staff would really make you feel at home and would guide you to go to the 7th floor to see the view of the whole city including Guimaras Island.
It's worth the visit.
