The place is known for the Lapu Lapu statue but the surrounding park is also very well maintained & can be used to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Also the backwater views behind the statue also offers some greate views

Spent the day with local family members touring various spots around lapu lapu and Cebu. We visited the Lapu Lapu shrine. Cool to see and to hear the history from the locals. Souvenir shops there were great and cheap! Better deals than most of the other places we visited on the island that day! Highly recommend making this a stop... More

Important landmark that tells a great story about Cebu, back in the 16th century. Visiting tis place let you visualize abut what happened during that time. Great place.

We took a cab from our resort and it was fairly easy to get to the park where the statue is there. It shows a little bit of history and when there is low tide you can actually walk on out and see the crabs walking around and see how the people of the area catch them. The park itself... More

This one is the pride of the Filipino before. Fought against the Spaniards and defeated Magellan. I still admire this guy who really fought and willing to die for his land.

I still remember my visit here when I was younger and recently, I came back to see the shrine once more. Well, this is just a small area in honor of our very first hero Lapu Lapu. The surroundings were made clean and maintained very well. Visitors are coming in and out. One thing you can really notice here is... More

Arrived in a rainy day. Great statue for the leader Lapu Lapu with his swords. The battle field is where Magellan was killed with many boats. Small and beautiful garden with many gifts shops.
