You can attend the mass inside the church but they also have an open air ground wherein church goers can sit as they attend the mass. Avoid taking pictures while mass is on going. Please respect. Most of the mass is in cebuano but they also have a mass in English, was able to attend the 8:00AM English mass which is perfect for non-cebu residents.

Basilica De Sto. Niño
After passing by the Magellan's Cross beside it is another landmark, Basilica De Sto. Nino. A very old church symbolizing as well as reminiscing the birth of christianity in the Philippines spread by the Spaniards.
There is no entrance fee to visit the Basilica and Magellan’s Cross. You can easily see both in less than half an hour.
In passing through you'll notice a big courtyard with hundreds of candle holders where the locals place a lit candle and pray for deceased relatives/friends etc.
Should you be in this area do not miss these landmarks including the Cathedral Museum which unlucky when I reached the place the security in-charge has started closing the large windows made of capiz. If you walk a bit farther you will find the Metropolitan Cathedral with its amazing appearance and architecture.

A very famous church, foreigners and locals would flock to this church whenever they visit cebu. The church is very beautiful and well maintained. Clean and safe. It has a rich cultural heritage.

It was nice to see this part of the church. We got to witness the traditional Sinulog dance when we arrived, so we were really lucky. We had so much fun watching the performance.

As always, the place never fails to amaze me. With the old yet amazing architecture of the church, from its amazing history of artifacts. Anyone should add this to their itinerary when visiting Sugbo

Although the museum is kinda small, going there and attend the mass is one of a experience and it is really fun especially if you're a solo traveler.
