It is a great church that shows rich history of Christianity in Cebu however unlike in the Basilica, security here is less strict so better watch out for your belongings.

The Metropolitan Cathedral has undergone a lot of changes over the years. And I must say for the good. It is a great place to hold your wedding and the adjoining convent has a reception area as well so you don't need to travel far.

I like this better than Sto. Niño Basilica. This place is peaceful and I don't think many tourists know about this cathedral. Shame because it is only walking distance from the popular basilica. People who wants silence when praying should go here instead of the noisy basilica.

This is one of Cebu's oldest and interesting designed church. They have mass which can be attended. It is located in Colon part of the city and not far from Santo Nino Cebu's most popular church to visit.

We attended 11:00 AM mass last Sunday, March 19, 2017. I always love this church since I was young, now visiting from New York, I was surprised that it was air conditioned, love it, with the heat outside really felt so good.

My trip to Cebu was to visit my two God- daughters and their family , and other poor children which I have been giving support to for many years. The Archbishop of Cebu granted my request for a special dispensation to be Baptized and comfirmation in the Catholic faith while I was in Cebu because of this.

Good thing is that the place is not over crowded, even if its not popular than other church its worth visiting besides its only near to Basilica De Sto Nino. It is beautiful and I hope they will maintain the place so that the future generation will have a chance to see it.

Although it is not as popular as a tourist destination as the Basilica de Santa Nina, the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is worth a visit if you are interested in church architecture and Filipino history Cebu is the oldest city in the Philippines and is the birthplace of Christianity in the Philippines, having been introduced by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521.
