Great observation area. We got here just in time to see a ship enter these new locks. you can also see the old lock from here. there is also an outdoor restaurant and a gift shop.

This viewing has various levels of viewing sites connected by swindon ribbon of concrete walkways which allow views from various points of view. There is an outdoor terrace restaurant with waiter service . A small theTreoffers avideopresentation of the canal history.

Observe the efficiency of the new larger set of locks from a modern observation deck with English and Spanish live narrations. Clean restrooms and a small snack & drink vendor are available. A short informative video is provided in English and Spanish every 30 minutes.

Be there right when it opens at 9am or you might not get to see any ships go through, it is really interesting to see how they pull them through the canal

If you liked the Canal then this is a MUST SEE, I'm pretty sure in the next years this will become "THE" Observation Centre of the Canal but in the meantime just enjoy the amazing view of Gatun Lake and incredible construction of the Canal....More
