Very nice hike. But don't expect that You will see quetzals each few meters (we didn't see any single one :( ). Also the Real lenght of the trail Is more likely 8 km thanks 6-7km that Is shown on the official boards.

This is a beautiful trail in Boquete. You can hike as much or as little of the trail as you like. Would definitely recommend this trail if you're in Boquete.

As a current traveler I 100% recommend this "sendero". The views are stunning and the sounds of nature make it an adventure worth the time! Also, the guide told us you can even get to see quetzals in the trees!! Absolutely amazing.

My wife and I started from the Ranger Station nearest Boquete without a guide. The trail is well marked. Unlike many hikers, we parked at the station and hiked to the Mirador las rocas outlook and back (~6km each way). We climbed approx 600m in...More

The Quetzales trail was on my to-do in Panama for a while. The best months are March and April because you have a higher chance of seeing the bird and it's dry season. You are more likely to see them in the pipeline road which...More
