We really enjoyed our coffee tour with Richard. He's a true connoisseur of coffee and was familiar with the local coffee roasters in our home city in the U.S., and we really enjoyed discussing our favorites. He teaches you to roast your own beans and provides a ton of interesting detail in the coffee tasting. His delicious Cafes de la... More

This was one of the best tours we have ever participated in. For Richard, this is a labor of love. We thought we knew about coffee before we went on the tour and listened to Richard, but we knew nothing. Thsi was extremely informative. He discussed every facet of the coffee business. This is a must activity.

Richard, the owner, gave us a very informative tour of the Finca Dos Jefes plantation with many details about the local area and the indigenous peoples and plants of the region. And, yes you get samples of the coffee and tea made from the farms coffee plants! Be sure to ask Richard about his efforts to improve the quality of... More

Without a doubt, this is one of the best activities that I have done while travelling in Central America. Our tour was with Amy at Finca Dos Jefes and she was wonderfully passionate, engaging and informative about the entire coffee growing, picking, cleaning and roasting process. She tirelessly answered our questions and shared her knowledge about the global coffee trade,... More

I was looking for a coffee tour in Boquete and I found this one. It was an excellent tour that gave us the opportunity to learn more about the drink and the process of making it and our tour guide, Amy, was awesome. Besides being located in a beautiful coffee plantation, you get to taste different coffee roasts and roast... More

Rich picked us up from our hotel and gave us a wonderful history of the Boquete region. Our guide for the tour was Gary, who, as it turns out, grew up in the same city as my husband! Gary was very knowledgeable. There are a lot of coffee tours to choose from in Boquete and I am glad we chose... More

This coffee tour was a great way to spend a few hours in Boquete. The region is, of course, known for its coffee, and this tour let us see how it is made and then taste it. My favorite part was actually getting to roast the beans myself and getting to take a bag of it home with me. The... More

Rich picked us up at our hotel, and taught us more about coffee and the coffee industry in 4 hours than we ever could have imagined. The experience was more like hanging out with a friend than taking a formal tour. We tried different roasts, got to roast our own beans (and take home two bags full), and even had... More

Amy was our guide and did a superb job! I will never look at coffee the same. Even my non-coffee drinking boyfriend enjoyed himself. The medium roast coffee was my fave and one of the best I have ever tried. Book your tour...you won't regret it.

This tour exceeded any expectation my husband and I may have had! Our guide was Amy, a Panamanian with excellent English! We learned about how Coffe is grown, the time it requires, the logistics of production and distribution. I felt we were educated with a " global view" of coffee growing. We will be much better informed coffee consumers for... More
