Nizwa was a great area,you can feel pure old culture there.The fort was very nice specially when you are in top of castle.You can see whole scene of Niwaz from top with all palm beautiful garden.

I would allow a fair amount of time for your visit if you're interested in reading the informative displays about the Omani culture, traditions & history. I found this to be an excellent source of insight into Oman! The fort itself is interesting too!

Very interesting to visit when in Nizwa. But Nizwa in summer is very hot, so be prepared. Oman people are so nice, so go there!

The fort is open 9am-4pm Sat-Thu and the entrance fee is 500 baisa.
