Our family enjoyed exploring this fort while in Oman for the day. May not warrant a trip on its own, but it was a great place to see while there.

Khasab fort is at the centre of the town. It has a very small museum. There are exhibits from history and a 2.5 million year old fossilized rock. The ticket price is 500 baiza for adults and 200 baiza for kids.

This is a well preserved fort with exhibits that provide a glimpse into life in the 19th and early 20th century. All exhibits have excellent English translation and explanations and the castle is well worth a visit.

Visit the past of this place with the illustrative exhibits in the museum. Walking on the Fort Wall is an experience. You will also glimpse an Omani Home, the culture of the people, its geography, etc.

The fort is renovated and there was a lot of investment in showing local customs and explaining the history of Musandam without getting lost in detail.
