My husband and I took the full day dhow tour and both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We were impressed with how professionally it was run – it is a very slick operation yet totally relaxed.
The boat was comfortable, super clean, even the toilet was great. The staff was personable, each one of them clearly doing their best to provide us with a good experience. There is free water, juice, tea and fruit all day and the crew were constantly coming around to see if we needed anything. Lunch was super delicious too – a full spread of salads, a vegetable and a fish dish, rice, bread, hummus (the best that I have had in Oman).
We had nice weather, so the views were great, snorkeling was nice (lots of small fish, mostly around the boat) and were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way there and again on the way back. The tour lasted about 6 hours and we never felt rushed at all.
Thanks for a great experience! If we ever find ourselves back in Khasab, we will certainly do this tour again. It is just such a pleasant way to spend a day – just sit back in comfort and let the spectacular scenery float by.

I booked three tours with Ahlam Musandam Tours: a full day dhow cruise, diving and a mountain tour. All three tours were very well organized and executed, all drivers and guides were professional and friendly and all promises were kept. I really cannot say anything negative about Ahlam. Thanks to Eldho and his team, we had a wonderful time in Musandam.

Ahlam Musandam Tours organised a magical to day tour in Musandam. Ehldo was ponctual at the arrival of the ferry and helpful in chosing a local restaurant for New Year's eve. The guesthouse was calm and tidy and prices very reasonnable for the quality of the service. He then organised a night stay dhow trip with Yusuf. The boat was privatised for my family of four, and it was more than wonderful. We are trully satisfied and only dream of visiting again! Thank you.

We just came back from a fantastic tip to Musandam region in Oman. The trip was organised through Ahlam Musandam Tours and its manager Eldho Varghese. We were a group of 7 coming from different countries and the organisation of this trip was very difficult, but with the help of Eldho, we had the most comfortable and pleasant trip one could imagine. Eldho has arranged our airport pick up from Dubai airport, all the boat’s trips and local car rental. We had a day trip to Kumzar, a magical village every one must see and had a great lunch surrounded by clear sea where all the beautiful creatures were visible under the water. Delightful dinner with fresh fish barbeque seasoned with the best masala you can find recommended by Eldho at the local restaurant in khasab. I feel I am back from paradise. Thank you ELDHO if you you read this!

Great experience! We loved our two private trips with Ahlam Musandam Tours: 1/2 Day Tour & Morning Speedboat to Kumzar. I would definitely recommend them and book again. It exceeded my already high expectations. Also, they were very nice & considerate when we were over 30 minutes late to our 1/2 Day Tour due to a long border crossing. We budgeted 1 hour & it took longer, even on a less crowded day because of all the steps. Ahlam Tours had strong communication and even gave us the whole time despite our group suggesting we reduce the tour time. Thank you! They really wanted to give us a great experience.... and they did.
Half Day Overall Sightseeing with Kayaks - The boat was beautiful, well-kept, and had a very nice bathroom! The guides were professional, considerate, and very helpful. They served us snacks and tea during the trip. They made sure we saw the most beautiful spots including lots of dolphins and scenery. It was special! We had kayaks (extra cost) and snorkels to explore the area, too. Next time, we'll do a full day tour.
Speedboat to Kumzar - Fantastic trip! Our guide, Yusuf, was excellent. He was friendly, professional, and engaging. He lives in Kumzar and showed us around his village. It was a lovely boat trip that took one hour each way. On the way back, we even saw the fishermen pulling in a huge net of Tuna w/ a man yelling directions high up on the mountains. It was great! (Tip: Ladies, make sure you cover your shoulders and knees for this trip and wear modest clothes or bring a shawl.) There isn't a bathroom on the speedboat, but there is a very clean one as soon as you dock. Add Kumzar to your list. Wear some good shoes (sandals still worked for us) for walking along the rocky mountain edges, too.

We chose the Ahlam Musandam Tours through comments that we read online as we did not know anyone who had been to Khasab before and we decided to book the private overnight camping on dhow with full day cruise and half day mountain safari. It surpassed every expectation we had. We were in contact with Aldo who organised pick up and drop off from Khasab airport and included all the stops in between and was very helpful throughout our stay. The dhow cruise was an incredible experience from watching the dolphins and swimming in the Fjords. We were given snorkels on board. We had lovely meals prepared on board by the crew which included lunch- dinner- breakfast and snacks. If you can we would certainly recommend the private cruise over a shared dhow as it really adds to the magic of Musandam having the dhow to yourselves and moving around the Fjords at your own pace. We really enjoyed the mountain safari and our driver was very friendly and informative. We highly recommend!

We have booked both tours - the full day dhow tour as well as the full day mountain tour with Eldho from Ahlam Musandam Tours.
The dhow was well prepared and clean, good food and soft drinks offered. There was sufficient space on the boat for all passengers. Other boats - specially the ones for the cruise ship customers - were completely crowded. The staff of the dhow was very friendly The snorkeling equipment was well kept and the snorkeling locations were really beautiful. The scenery of the Khor as Sham is perfect. All in all it could be perfect.
However as soon as dolphins showed up most of the tour boats in the fjord started to chase the dolphins without any respect for this beautiful animals. Our skipper was a bit more cautious than others, but there should be stronger regulations to keep sufficient distance to the dolphins.
The mountain tour was very interesting with stops at different points of interest: Khor Najd, Bait al Quft (old Bedouine housing), Al Khalyddia, As Shayh and the Jabal as Shayh Road Pass. The landscape was beautiful, our driver was very friendly and was driving very carefully. We enjoyed the trip very much.

A great half day cruise in the fjords of Khasab. We had a large dhow with only two families on board which meant there was plenty of room to spread out. Aldho was very helpful during the booking process and the crew onboard were friendly and hospitable. There were plenty of dolphins putting on a great show swimming with the boat and jumping out of the water. We went for a quick swim and did some snorkeling but visibility was not great the day we were there.
Overall a great trip and must be done if in Musandam.

Eldho organised a mountain safari and a dhow tour for us. Both experiences were fantastic but the best part of it all was Eldho's flexibility, his prompt responses prior to our arrival and his punctuality. I am sure that there are many good tour operators you can choose in Khasab, but I don't think any of them can match Eldho's outstanding customer service.

Four of us (all women) did the overnight dhow cruise and mountain safari. We messaged a few companies to organise our tour and Eldho was the first to reply. He was so helpful when deciding what to do and because one of our group didn't want to sleep on the boat he arranged for her to come out on another boat in the morning. He gave several options for hotels to stay in with good rates. He also helped last minute when our arrangements for getting to Oman fell through. During our weekend he was always there to make sure everything went well.
The boat tour was amazing, we watched the sun come up, snorkled and saw dolphins three times. Food was good and plentiful. The mountain safari was also amazing with a wonderful guide.
