Enjoy a beautiful short boat ride to the lighthouse - tour the lighthouse -- and travel back to Hudson or Athens. Well worth the time. Relaxing trip back in time.

We made a point to visit when there was a tour since the lighthouse is really out there in the river. It's difficult to get nice photos, too. With the tour, you get a ride on the little ferry skiff, a history, time to explore the building on your own and a video with the interview of a former resident.... More

We live in Athens, and know a lady who grew up living in the lighthouse. We were able to get access for a photo shoot with the Hudson River Bells, our local hand-bell choir. It is situated smack dab in the middle of the Hudson River, so we needed to be shuttled out. We found being on the island very... More

I just stopped at the riverfront park in Hudson - Rick's Point, I think it was called. I was able to view the lighthouse and take in some of it's glory. It was strange for me to see a lighthouse so far inland but worth the stop. Hudson also seemed like a cool little town worth spending a day in... More

But until this most recent Athens Street Festival, have never been inside it. Emily Brunner lived there in the Early 1900's while her Dad was the caretaker. She being close to 90 was our... More
