What a beautiful way to look at Swakopmund. Take a jacket with you, because it can be freezing, but it's not a long walk, and the views are really outstanding. If you have the time, walk out and watch the sunset. It's astounding. During the...More

Well restored early 20th century jetty - from the far end, you get the most amazing views of the sun setting into the Atlantic

Unless you are eating at the expensive restaurant at the end of the pier, it is just a walkway and nothing to do. The views of the town make it useful for photographers.

Given that Namibia is mainly drought beleaguered desert, it was nice to see some water. Jetty offers a good walk to see the Atlantic at work.

Walk to the end of the jetty for the view of Swakopmund. Even in the cold and rain it is worth the walk.

Worth the walk out over the ocean with waves crashing on the beach. Restaurant At entrance. Sandy beach and attractive beach front. The city is clean and very interesting with German influence.

We had dinner there and found something for everyone. From soups and salads over fish and meat to the desert, the dining was very delicious and visually nicely arranged. They also serve high quality Sushi and Sashimi, which I enjoyed very much. The staff was...More

On a stormy night the walk is a disneyland ride, with surf and wind whipping across the pier. The food is deeply fried and quite frankly not worth the effort.

Only a few hours... ... in this case I would suggest to book a short desert trip with Chris ("the little five"), and a dinner in the Jetty restaurant, combined with a short walk on the beach. Please remember that Swakopmund... More
