The jetty allows you see far and wide into the waters. Waters are a bit rough so it can be scary , but worth going all the way to the end to get some great veiws/shots.

Great place, delicious food. Book in advance as it gets too full. Nice beach view and a must see when in Swakund.

The place to visit when in Swakopmund: a different view and smell after all the sand and desert encountered before. And a nice breeze … and for free! Enjoy the cormorans at the end and in the evening a dinner at one of the restaurants, both are excellent (see separate reviews).

Nice view back to the town, just something you have to do when in Swakopmund. Wooden deck with the ocean churning below

It was nice to know of a history. Where & how the Germans entered Namibia (Swakopmund) The structure is still solid. Must visit place for history lovers

Fish restaurant of low quality. You can order oysters but 3 pieces, come on others places you get more. The dish with mussels is just some few mussels with a lot of crème “soup” and small pieces of bread. The restaurant is surviving because of the location close to the sea, definitely not for good food or quantity.

It was quite windy and a bit rickety. But there were nice views on the town and it was pleasant enough.

In an early evening with quite a "high wind" in my face (not sure if that was normal and not just on that particular day), it was some "memorable walk" I would say along this jetty "all the way" where it was necessary to actually go up onto the roof of the restaurant located on the far end of the Jetty in order to get to its "very end" before turning back. And, with the "wide-open" South Atlantic Ocean to see all around while on the Jetty (with also to be mindful of some occasional big waves coming up), also pretty nice to see is a part of the town's waterfront (better view "to the right" while looking back with more buildings and also a small view of the desert at the end of the town in that direction). And yes, also enjoyable was the late lunch at The Tug right beside the Jetty entrance before getting on it for my walk (a pretty good fish-and-chip & a great ocean view including the "full length" of this jetty to enjoy from the deck of the restaurant).

With just one day being enough for the sightseeing in this small town itself (apart from the sites outside the town such as the Dorob Desert & the Skeleton Coast National Park which I did later), I started the day at the Swakopmund Museum which is a small one but with an "impressive collection" of items for the town's history, and afterwards headed to Woermannhaus with a nice 360-degree town view from its tower (including a "fully visible" view of this jetty actually) before finishing my day's sightseeing here.
