We had the tougest, cold steaks ever and when we sent back the portion of our meal we eventually gave up on, it was billed by a manager who claimed that the meat is tough, due to the drought! The stirfry was oily and unseasoned. The fish skewer was dry. The seafood soup was basically a tasteless watery business with... More

This was easily the worst steak I've had ever! The meat parts of my steak were very tough and the sinew parts purely inedible. Half of it went back simply because I couldn't byte through it. I was told that the restaurant was full and that my proplem was my own and: "good night". The price is twice of that... More

Impressive jetty; was wonderful to walk out to the end and be surrounded by the powerful sea! An adventure walking out and back needing to dodge the waves crashing and splashing up onto the jetty! Go at dusk when the lights are all coming on... very pretty!

Worth a stroll down the jetty to take in the views back across the town. I'd have liked some historical information boards to help me appreciate the history of the jetty and the town.

Whilst the jetty at Swakopmund was not a fancy as the Brighton or Santa Monica, it was great to walk along and feel the strength of the Atlantic waves crashing underneath. For photo enthusiasts, a switch to black and white puts another dimension to the aged timbers.

Nothing special. There was a restaurant on the end but it was closed when were there. You could fish there - guess this could be a reason to visit.

It is a nice way to spend 15 mins. Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing spectacular about it. I guess the specialness is that it is the only one within 1000KM, so if it is the only one you have, it makes it special. There is a restaurant on it which is popular with groups so be ready for... We wandered along the pier enjoying the sea views and the wealth of butterflies accompanying us. It is a short walk but a good one.
