The Swakopmund museum is a refreshingly original time warp museum from a previous era. If you like eclectic colonial era collections with hand made diorama models and original artifacts then it's the best N$30 you'll spend in an afternoon. If you're expecting the natural history...More

This museum is a juwel, not concentrating on one theme. It is really showing big and small things of the history of Namibia. Collected by private people and amateur researchers.

I went here and spent maybe two hours walking around and reading. They had a lot of information about traditional plants, minerals etc. but the one thing I felt was lacking was the colonial times. There was almost nothing about the events during the German...More

Loved it. The museum is bigger than you think and has something to show in every category. Model cars, ancient civilisation, old dentist equipment, etc. Super interesting.

Small little museum but lot to see. Entry fee are N$ 30 per adult. Affordable , worthwhile for a quick visit while you there for a short visit.

This is a small museum with lots of exhibits. It is very well laid out and has labels in English. Well worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare.

A lovely museum. The sections take you back into Namibia's History and other Namibian topics. My young Nephew and Niece love this place as it is compiled with so much love and detail. Highly recommended for families or also if you are on your own.

The museum is surprisingly large with a good selection of items and several different subject matters from archaeology, to the indigenous peoples to the colonialist settlers, well worth the modest entrance fee of $30. I was surprised to see PC 3.5 inch 'stiffie' diskettes and...More

I forget how much local Namibian dollars but it is less than five Australian dollars so not much. It has a lot of interesting stuff to see and worth a visit. You need to spend at least an hour there to see everything
