A terribly windy spot, but a great place for photos and/or afternoon sundowner drinks. A good place for a beach stroll too, but rug up!! It can be cold and wet. Shipwreck photo opportunities depend on low or hide tide

After many years I was able to access the lighthouse and climb to the top. Wonderful view and generally an interesting visit. We managed to book a tour before. Probably, the easiest is to speak to the guard to get the phone number.

We took a tuk-tuk from down-town and got a ride to Macuti then walked on the beach where we can have a great view of the lighthouse. Unfortunatly, a police is there and it turns out that tourists can take pictures of the light house.

Beira itself doesn't have a ton to do and these two attractions won't take up much of your time but I definitely suggest taking a walk on the beach to the shipwreck. Growing up I spent many holidays in Beira and there is a noticeable...More
