Beautiful....

Beautiful and colourful medina. Wide range of shopping options. Personally I find the price are more cheaper than Marrakech and with less crowd too.

Great to come to Essouira after the craziness of Marrakech. Prices aren't that different, but they are a bit cheaper. Atmosphere in medina is more chilled and of course the sea breeze helps the temperature as well. Easy small medina to walk around.

Fun to wander around, full of character and relatively easy to navigate. We were there at different times of day and always felt safe. Merchants wanted your custom but accepted a no if you weren't interested.

Plenty of shops, and restaurants. Theres always entertainment - someone singing, dancing or doing both! Short walk from the beach. Delicious restaurants and so cheap!!

This is a refreshing and interesting place to walk around after spending a few days in Marrakech. I thoroughly enjoyed how relaxed the shop keepers were compared to those in the Souks of Marrakech. They were eager to speak to us and a few tried to talk us into their shops for tea, but overall the shop keepers were easy... More

Its an awesome place to flee from busy marrakech! You have a pretty decent oriental medina atmosphere but without the hustle of a million people trying to sell you something. Just wander around an enjoy yourself!

Complete opposite of the Medina in Marrakesh, people here are more relaxed and are not pushing their wares in your face. Do not miss the thuya wood artisans, beautiful pieces at very reasonable prices. A great place for an afternoon walk.

Great to visit the old Medina with the bustle of traders, welcoming to purchase their ware but not as manic and congested as main towns. A beautiful coastal city

I really enjoyed wandering around this Medina. After being in Marrakech, this one was almost laid back. Plenty of streets to explore at your own pace, without too much hassle.
