Visiting FRIM is best when the sun is just coming up, enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning and of course ample parking. Try parking near the hike trail as close as possible and enjoy a hearty breakfast at any of the rest areas. We used the experience to capture some nature shots and of course insects! Walking up... It has a lot of trees as its a big Forest Research Institute. There's also a small pool towards the end where you can have picnic but it may get overcrowded. I hope that those who go to this place will keep in mind to save the nature for our kids. Really a beautiful place to hangout.

Looking for a nice place for a picnic with your family or just a different location to hangout at - surrounded by greenery, fresh air, cool surroundings - this is the place for you then! I love FRIM because it really reminds you of Malaysia in the 80s. The buildings are tucked away so you actually feel like you're far... More

Upon entering, follow the driveway to D6 (a single story building on your right hand side) where the information center/gift shop is located. There you will be able to rent a guide if you need one. Unfortunately during our visit the canopy walk is not available as it has fallen, we were told that they are unsure when it would... More

Near the top there is a canopy walk which the children will love. As they walk on the canopy walk it feels as if they are walking on top... More

We walked the Rover Track and later took the uphill trail towards the Canopy Walk. Not sure if it was open, but it was not our main purpose anyhow. This trail was still partially blocked by a huge fallen tree trunk, making it difficult for large adult to pass through.

FRIM Kepong is the most relaxing place for a good morning cycling or a short jungle trekking with your friends during the weekend. The place is crowded mostly after 11 o'clock in the morning. The canopy walk is fantastic however the time we went there it's closed for maintenance so we track on a different yet short route. You can... More

What more could u ask to be in a middle of city but escape to a wonderful nature with lots of facilities. My partner like to try the canopy walk and it is worth every penny as the view is breathtaking. We love the sound and natural environment surrounded within and it makes u forget you were in a capital... More
