Bring me back to the 1980s and 1990s... the museum has a good collection of animals specimen and other things. but they are not well categorized. Also, the museum is old, no multimedia that u see in modern museum. It really feels like museums i visied when i was young. Painted background in the cabinet etc... but this is a... More

It was interesting museum specially for child although most of the items was covered by dust. The entrance ticket was free. The second level was on the maintenance.

This was an above average museum. The older parts of the need to be replaced by newer updates since it seems to be a ramshackle collection of oddities appropriate for museum goers of 1900. Creepy and sad to see the glass eyed displays of local animals. The rest of the museum was very informative and up to date on displaying... More

I went there for a research and found that the museum was an interesting place to go. On the first floor, there would be exhibition of artificial samples of animals and insects (Brooke's collections) that found in Sarawak, as well as the history of Sarawak during the Brooke's time. On the second floor, there will be murals, exhibition of hand-made... More

The building is very beautiful from the outside complete with canons and a totem pole like structure. There are 2 buildings. The older museum has no aircon and a bit musty smelling. It houses a taxidermist's delight of a fantastic collection of various animals and birds of Sarawak. Complete with all info on the various tribes of Sarawak and their... More

Nice museum in the lush green settings of Kuching city. Enjoyed the trip. However its very beautiful from outside but cannot say so for inside. But would certainly give idea about history and cultural heritage of this city. Since its near the plaza and Merderaka Palace Hotel you can enjoy this for an hour or so.
