Little of Kota Kinablau (formerly Jesselton) remained after WW 2 and the Clock Tower is one such example. Set in the middle of Kota Kinabalu, the Tower was built in 1905 and stands as a solitary reminder of those colonial days. It is a memorial to the District's first district officer, Francis George Atkinson and is of significant historical importance.... More

We went out of our way to look for this clock. Yes, it was good to see, but not amazing. You can also see it from the Observatory Platform.

On our visit to KK we always reinstate ourselves with walking the area. We came across tower on hill overlooking town. Nice piece of local history as most of of town was bombed during WWII.

We randomly ran into this attraction as we walked from our hotel. It does give some interesting historical context, but is otherwise not very impressive. Stop by quickly should you see it, but don't miss out on the other attractions.

This clock tower still stands in the same spot since it was erected. It is easily accessible with just a short climb uphill.

apart from the fact that this holds historical value, I think there is nothing very spectacular about this clock.

The clock tower is a 5minute visit, unless you are trying to get a photo for a magazine it may take you less than 5minutes. There is the historical aspect and it's meaning in Jesselton town and later Kota Kinabalu city. As others have mentioned you have too get the right angle to avoid getting cars/rails etc. in your pictures.... More

We walked to this from the waterfront, was a nice day to visit, you can see quite a far bit from the top of the hill. The clock tower is well maintained, you can even drive up if you do not fancy a climb.
