We are in our 60sand booked a 1 night stay for a 'different' experience. We went with some trepidation but were pleasantly surprised. Though the rooms were simple and basic, the towels, bed and bedding were spotlessly clean. No en suite here - European style toilets and showers in block outside were basic but fine.

Food was simple but lukewarm though plentiful (chicken and rice, fruit.). Same meal for lunch and dinner. Nice noodle breakfast.

The family were very welcoming and the children put on a nice dancing display in the evening.

Warmly recommended.

I love architectural and Rungus long house is the highlight of my visit in Sabah for the specific purposes that interested me personally. I found it accidentally on our way from Kudat to Balud. My concerned is only one, they build square place at the entrance that blocking the magnificent looking of the facade that unfortunately didn't make the place stand out

Good day spent travelling to the Tip of Borneo, Kudat, what a great place, even got to wet the feet in the ocean.
Visited the Bee Farm and the Gong Village also as well as the Long House. Good guide. The lunch supplied at the Long House was not very good, even the guide was dissappointed.
Very educational.

The longhouse was special to view and visit, but thats all.

No guide was available and explanatory notes was limited (we saw only two brief notes). There are few women selling their handcrafts, but there weren't able to give us any detailed tour nor interesting facts on the particular ethnic or accomodation.

Unless one is travelling with experienced tour guide that is able to give an interesting view on the house, there is really nothing worthy to see over there.
