A great location for diving and snorkelling. We went with 2 small children who had a great time while my husband and I went diving. I highly recommend it as a day trip as it only takes about 15 minutes to get there from the KK Harbour.

We took one of the ferries across to Sapi Island with the intention of riding the zip line over to Gaya Island. It only took around 20 minutes to get there from Jessleton Point, but as we pulled in we were shocked at the hundred of people on a very small beach and even more in the water - all... More

I love to snorkel here, but in the morning usually the tide is out and you can only play in the shallows, not actually swim/snorkel. If you do snorkel, you can stay near the shore or if you are at all a good swimmer, go beyond the first buoys (still in buoy-protected area) and prepare to be amazed. We've seen... More

Stayed there for an hour thru island hoping tour. Did snorkeling there. Nothing much 50 metres from the beach for non-swimmers to see under water. Maybe need to go further to enjoy. Anyway beautiful and clear sea.

Arrived on the early boat, was advised to so we would miss the crowds, they must have been told also. Nice beach, enjoyed swimming amongst some fish, the lifeguard wouldnt open the snorkelling area until midday, reasons unknow as it was a nice calm day, by then we had spent half of the day in the water and couldnt be... Day trip over from Kota Kinabalu. The boat arrangements over were organized chaos but coming back disorganized chaos. That said, nice island even though crowded. The water temperature was great. The snorkeling a lot of fun. Thought we might get bored after a couple of hours but enjoyed a half day on the island.

Similar to Manukan island - this place is dirty, noisy and full of Chinese tourists with selfie sticks. Food wasn't brilliant and the sea is full of jelly fish. Avoid this place!

We went here for a fun family day for our trip to Sabah. The whole family loved it. We especially like snorkeling, which was great for our two children (ages 8 & 10) because the main area for snorkeling is sheltered without strong currents. Our kids really loved exploring the corals and seeing the fish. Then I had a fabulous... More
