With a small shrine for Virgin Mary on its front grounds, this is a regular-but-not-memorable church (to put it as such) with just a "modest interior" (no glittering altar faces & such like the interiors of some grand cathedrals that I've been to such as Basilique Cathedrale in Old City Quebec & Se Cathedral in Old Goa), but there are... One of the older Catholic houses of worship in the region, the cathedral is built in an interesting melange of styles with a British colonial base of sorts. And it features an old organ in a space that has acoustics built-in. It is being renovated at the moment, but if you can, do drop by, on your way to or... More

I visited this lovely church 24 years ago. It’s called the "Church of the Assumption” and is NOT a cathedral. It is in the middle of being gutted right now. Rennovation is going to be a long-term project. I've been walking past it now for two months and you can see very little from the outside. This small church is... More

This Cathedral is a nice place to visit even for 10 minutes, it has nice architecture from outside , simple design from inside. So you dont have to spent long time here but take a walk around it while you walk through the city.

Went to mass there at 10am service. Pleasant experience . All in English The building itself has a history and is the part of old Georgetown. The congregation apart from us three Australians seem to be local Chinese and Indians. All in all a prayer and spiritual boost on our trip

Its a beautiful church to get married or photoshoot..Lighting at nite is gorgeous. The choir singing can be heard from outside and the lush green surrounds the church was just beautiful even smack right in city centre
