We visited here after coming across the temple on a walk from the shopping mall. The main temple with the reclining buddha is very serene and cool on a warm day. Surround areas are well taken care of and very decorative.

The Thai temple across the reclining Buddha temple across the road is certainly worth a visit in its own right, but the convenient location makes it a must see. Take your time and enjoy the grounds a bit.

We visited on New Year's Day and there was a special prayer session, hence the huge crowds. The gold gilded reclining Buddha is both serene and amazing. There are murals depicting the life of Buddha on the walls of the temple which were painted by Thai artists. This temple is just opposite the Burmese temple so a visit to both... More

*) HOHO City Route: Stop 13. *) Stands right opposite to Dharmikarama Burmese Temple, with its eye catching entrance with snake designs.. Since both the temples are opposite each other, you might want to club them together, since both are beautiful and very worth seeing. *) Houses the 4th longest 108 ft Sleeping/Reclining Buddha statue. *) Entrance is free. All... More

This temple is located on Lorong Burmah (there's a Burmese temple just opposite). Another must visit spot for Buddhist devotees. Here lies the 3rd largest sleeping Buddha in the region. Clean temple grounds, a few stalls outside the temple and prayer offerings in the temple is a must. The recently deceased King of Thailand highly contributed in this temple together... More

The temple houses the reclining Buddha which is awe inspiring. But we also were very appreciative of the several other statues, smaller shrines and lovely dragons flanking the entrance to all the temples. Definitely worth a visit

The place is beautiful, clean and happening. It is lively, yet gives me an inner peace whenever I visit it.

It a nice place to visit. The Reclining Buddha Temple (Wat Chayamangkalaram) is located at Burma Road (Lorong Burma). The temple can be seen on the road from Georgetown to Batu Feringghi. Rapid Penang Bus numbered 101 from Georgetown goes to this place. You can catch this bus from Chulia street, which then goes to Komtar and then along the... More

Visited the temple on 20 Dec 2016. The sleeping statue of the Sleeping Buddha was grand. An interesting place that I would recommend to visitors.
