Beautiful clan house museum which has been laid out so that you can see how the family lived. Entrance price includes a guided tour of all the main rooms plus family temple, jewellery and costume museum rooms. Easily the most interesting of the clan houses with beautiful Chinese and British furniture throughout the house and nice to see family photos... More

Guided tour around the mansion which does have plenty of antiques, glassware, shoes and clothing etc to view. Definitely worth a visit for local history and culture.

Visited the mansion and the place is filled with many different artifacts from the past that showcases the different type of peranakan lifestyle and the different types of things and items that were used for the different purposes. During our visit we also had this really knowledgable guide by the name of Woo which has really good knowledge of the... More

We visited this mansion last year and enjoyed it but thought there was more to see which there was mainly because we had a guide called Robin (the English version of his name) who came from Bangladesh He was excellent and made the tour for us, his English was excellent and his knowledge of the history and artefacts vaste. We... More

Having a passion collecting old artefacts may lead you to open your own museum as has happened at Pinang Peranakan. It started out as a two story house showing in exquisite detail the past life of a Nyonya family in all their wealth over a hundred years ago. Now three more connected locations are open as well, one of them... More

This is one of the best place to visit in Penang. If you are on a tight schedule and need to visit a place to learn about the histories of Penang, then this museum is an excellent choice to be. This museum used to be a house for a Peranakan family and it was housed with numerous artefacts and beautiful... More

We visited the great mansion and were awed by its decor and collections. We were provided with a guided tour led by Ms Woo. Woo is very knowledgeable and explained to us detailly the history of the mansion, how glamorous life was in the old days and the Nyonya stories. Normally guided tour is provided to groups of at least... More

We went to visit this place. It is very busy. However our guide Fab.is very good. He show us around the house and tell us very interesting facts about the place. The jewellery in the museum is very pretty. Worth the visit. Entry fee is rm 20 for adults.

Beautiful mansion and certainly a place to visit if you are interested in history culture and heritage. Better to go in a group of 10-15 people with someone guiding you along since as a foreigner one might not be able to understand and appreciate most part of it. Recommended visit.

Touring the Mansion was close to my heart as my maternal grandparents were Baba Nyonya. My husband and I took the tour with Tuhssan and we loved it! She is sweet and knowledgeable and gave a really informative enjoyable tour and was very conscious and considerate of us all, making sure we were all comfortable as it was a hot... More
