St George’s Church was the first Anglican Church constructed in South East Asia. Work began in 1817 and was completed in time for the celebration of Christmas Day, 1818. Well worth a visit.

Sitting proud in decent church grounds. Clearly great history here. Would love to have attended a service with organ playing.

The places was relatively peaceful and quiet, it has a sense of calm around it. The organ as well as the altar was impressive yet simply decorated.

The church was impressive and sits behind the Law Courts in an area that has some classical and attractive old buildings and by far the classier part of George Town. Worth a visit
