Fake flowers on the trishaws for some riders...others more decorative and creativity...each depending on tour agencies by buses..or by tour cruises. Umbrellas..t-shirts were sponsored either by individuals...companies...hotels... They may look haggard..but they could carry twice their body size (heavied passengers) on their trishaws..unbelievable amazing. Apart from town trishaws...@ Batu Ferringhi near hotels..with lighted trishaws takes passengers for a spin.

Went on Trishaw ride it was relaxing & something different but before you get on one be sure to work out a price with the man or you will end up paying way to much when your ride is finished

Taking a trishaw ride around the heritage sites of Penang was a great experience for us. It brought back memories of our growing up days when trishaws were a normal form of transport. The trishaw man took us around the Esplanate, along Beach Street to Pitt Street, stopping for us to view and photograph the street art and historical buildings... More

Riding Penang's trishaw is an experience on its own. What used to be a common public transportation has now become a tourist attraction. My brother and I used to ride the trishaw to school as lil kids. It brought back loads of memories as I rode it after 30+ years. Even more memorable when I shared the experience with my... More

We took a trishaw ride mainly because I was unfortunate enough to dislocate my knee ten days prior to our long planned Penang trip. However, it turned out to be a highlight. We found out that the rate charged is government controlled in the historic part of George Town at rm50 per hour. We were happy to pay this especially... More

Finding your way around Penang can be bewildering to the uninitiated so it is good advice to take a trishaw ride to get your bearings. We took a short ride mainly through Little India but culminating at the Fort. The driver I had was friendly and knowledgable and helpful in identifying the points of interest.

Young family with a 18 month went on a trishaw ride. It was in the middle of the day so probably not the best time but it was fun. The guide didn't have much English but that was ok as we had a map of the local sites. He took use through some streets where we hadn't been which was... More

We took this to get to our dinner reservation, and it's a mix of fun and adventure with a bit of regret. Felt like I was showing off to the poor locals, but the ride still was nice although the driver seemed to want a little too much of a tip, and tried to make us feel bad, but hey... More

We had the nicest Trishaw operator. He had a lot of information and was very well spoken. We picked up our ride outside of the Holiday Inn and took it to the end of the night markets and back. We were a little wary of the other vehicles but the Trishaw operator put our minds at ease. We gave him... More

Great fun and excitement riding through the middle of traffic and by the busses. We were in a large group and it was really fun to race through the streets of China Town and Clark Quay. We took the ride at night and it was great.
