Small park, one way street

There isn't too much mangrove left on the west coast of Malaysia. Taman Baya Bakau is one of the small patches left. There's an elevated footbridge into the swamps. It won't take... read more

Nice place to take a walk into the swamp with monkeys all over. Good effort towards preservation of the nature.

There isn't too much mangrove left on the west coast of Malaysia. Taman Baya Bakau is one of the small patches left. There's an elevated footbridge into the swamps. It won't take long before you arrive at the river arm. If you're lucky you will see mudskippers, crabs, monkeys and monitor lizards. There are birds but you probably need to... More

Too many monkeys and they are very dangerous. They will attack people who bring bags as they expect food in in the bag. Not advisable to go alone.

The wooden path walkways are rotten, rusted nails exposed, some plank wood are missing, including the staircase to hanging bridge. Some parts have metal pathways beside wooden pathways, but you can feel it is soft, not sure how much weight it can support. The notice board says you are responsible on your own safety. With all these hazards, I don't... More

My wife and i frequently go to the place to feed the monkeys. If you are calm enough, u can feed them, peacefully. If its your first time, and have no intention of feeding the monkeys, dont bring any food. It might get snatched by the monkeys, some of which are very big!

Not a nice place to hang out at all. The whole park is really a "swamp". No maintenance at all. I visited this place 2 years ago and it stayed the same or worsen. The railing looked liked they will just drop off. The whole place was just dirty and monkeys were everywhere. Some of the monkeys were ferocious. This... More
