Much of the art is scattered all over the place making it hard and difficult to visit, coupled with the difficult parking. The one place where it is placed together in one lane, Jalan Masjid, is in a poor state of disrepair. Not rewarding at all.

Mainly within Old Town area and a reasonable walking distance from our hotel. Leading from the Mural Arts Lane to the main Old Town center where the Concubine Lane is and the surrounding areas.

Not many that you can pose with (unlike those in Penang) but many to admire and take photos of, especially those depicting the life at that area. Similarly, a pity some are not well maintained and have been defaced or faded.

The murals (street art) of Ipoh are well famous :)
Note, however, that the street art / murals are scattered in various locations in Old Town (i.e. the area on the side of the railway station of Kinta river) Ipoh

It is a short street to walk around. Did not find it very interesting. Maybe it is heavily promoted by the vendors/stores on the street to attract tourists.

Padang Ipoh is good place to have jogging or walking exercise. It is near the Birch clocktower and a number of administrative buildings during the British era.

Had a good time discovering the murals in corners and lanes. Some are run down. Wish they were maintained better and wish someone made a list of where each is.

Amazingly, the mural art trail captures many of local cultural events and surprisingly some childhood games were shown here in a comic way to blend into the lane structure. A slow walk and get imagination, you will enjoy what each artists have tried to portrayed in their art works here.

If you are visiting Ipoh, I would recommend you take a relaxing stroll around the "old town" area and take in the various mural art which depicts life in Malaysia, and if you feel tired, hungry or thirsty, you can always drop into any of the awesome cafes and Malaysian-style coffee shops to try some local delicacies!

The key to having a great time with this type of outing is: just relax, don't rush, do not set any time limit for this activity, enjoy it at your own pace. There are many murals which are off the main road, some are high up on the side of the buildings, many are hidden in the back & side alleys. I wish all visitors a great time in Ipoh and a safe journey home!

The best way to do this is to park the car (if you are driving) and just walk around for a couple of hours to enjoy and take pictures with the different arts/ murals you can find in the old town area. You might pass by without realizing there is a huge painting on the wall next to you because some of them have faded under the scorching sun, but if you look closely you will get to appreciate the beauty. Some of the big ones are from Ernest Zacharevic the Lithuanian artist famed for the Penang Street Art. But you also have smaller ones that you can enjoy while walking around. The sun can be unforgiving (if it is not raining) and the good thing is that you are surrounded by many restaurants/ stalls selling delicious food and drinks that are native to Ipoh, so take your time to enjoy the experience and stop for a drink or even a full meal.

The tourist information office has a map with most of the mural art between the railway station and the river. Very easy to walk and find them. The map even includes the GPS coordinates, but Ipoh old town is so small that it is better to just walk and expore and discover the various pieces. I actually found them nicer and less stressful than the mural art of Penang/Georgetown. There were much less tourists here and none of the lines where everyone wants to take the same photo/selfie with the murals. Very relaxing. I actually really like the murals on the east side of the river, close to the mosque much more. There is really a mural on every wall over there.
