The tennis facilities at Royal Perak Golf Club are very good, and it is home to a vibrant and active tennis community. Coaching and help with training is readily available for players at most ability levels. There are five open courts in all, so getting court time is rarely a problem. Three of the courts have synthetic surfaces, while two have a more traditional hard surface. The courts are well lit in the evenings. There is also a hitting wall. Playing on the synthetic surfaces takes a bit of getting used to. The bounce is quite different and the ball can sometimes skid off the surface in damp conditions. The grip always feels secure underfoot. The big advantage with these courts is that they are kinder to the knee joints. They are also playable almost immediately after rain – no need to mop up! However, there is room for some improvement with the tennis facilities. The tennis wall needs a new floor surface and markings, and all the courts would benefit from new fencing. After tennis you can jump into the fantastic swimming pool located just a few metres from the courts. All the staff at the club are friendly and polite.

you need to be a member to go in. unless you are invited by one of its members. the course is at tiger lane. it has been here for quite sometime and well maintined. in the city they have the royal ipoh club.
