The tennis facilities at Royal Perak Golf Club are very good, and it is home to a vibrant and active tennis community. Coaching and help with training is readily available for players at most ability levels.
There are five open courts in all, so getting court time is rarely a problem. Three of the courts have synthetic surfaces, while two have a more traditional hard surface. The courts are well lit in the evenings. There is also a hitting wall.
Playing on the synthetic surfaces takes a bit of getting used to. The bounce is quite different and the ball can sometimes skid off the surface in damp conditions. The grip always feels secure underfoot. The big advantage with these courts is that they are kinder to the knee joints. They are also playable almost immediately after rain – no need to mop up!
However, there is room for some improvement with the tennis facilities. The tennis wall needs a new floor surface and markings, and all the courts would benefit from new fencing.
After tennis you can jump into the fantastic swimming pool located just a few metres from the courts. All the staff at the club are friendly and polite.

I found this course to be flat and not well maintained. Greens are slow and worth weeds.
The so called restaurant is not inviting and service staff are not happy to serve. Dull and dim looking entrance.
Sorry to disturb the receptionist when we registered in her talk on the mob phone.
We will go to other better managed courses in the future.

18 hole walking course located at tiger lane. It's a championship course but a bit flat. I played here with my dad. Nice club house with pool. Food is good. Caddy service available if needed. It's the only golf course that is nearest to the city center

It is well maintain course because at one time the late Sultan of Perak use to place at the course quite frequently. The buggies at this club are in excellant condition. The golf course is quite friendly and flat. The draw back is that the walk in price is expensive. If you don't mind paying recommend to play there no regret

This may be a mostly flat, or very gently undulating course, but there is a lot of variety in the holes and the length makes you feel you have done a really good work-out by the end, particularly in the tropical heat. The greens are beautifully kept and true. The fairways are a bit more mixed, can be soggy in places after very wet days and nights and there is quite a bit of 'cow grass' - broad-leaved greenery, especially in the semi-rough, which is tough to play cleanly out of. The trees are beautiful and mature, often presenting serious obstacles if your stray off the fairways and there are several holes with creeks across the fairways, demanding careful course management. There are a only a few more obvious 'water holes', but they are as challenging as they are attractive when you encounter them. The ambiance of this famous old club is distinguished and impressive and harks back to colonial times. It is a shame that the lovely bar with the balcony overlooking the eighteenth hole is the one place where you cannot order a cold beer to refresh yourself after the challenge! It is unusual in my experience to encounter such sensitivities in top attractions enjoyed by people of all races and religions.
