It’s a slow drive to get up here, with some pleasant views of the plantation below you along the way (hence the long traffic queue).
From the car park it’s a short walk up stairs (though plenty were huffing and puffing) to arrive at… a shop, and a cafe. There’s no opportunity to explore the plantation, the tea factory is closed for visitors, and the views from the verandas are spoiled by the plastic strewn all over the place.
It doesn’t look like a working tea plantation at all (we only saw one poor worker actually doing any work): it’s just a tourist trap with overpriced tea.

It was a great place to visit if you like tea.
The smell of tea leaves...hmmm ! Lovely!
Education session on tea from the start till end.
Variety of tea for selection.
Road narrow but with improved system, security there to assist to prevent accident.
Extra restaurant added for visitors to enjoy meal with more selections.

The location is very high and deep inside. Very narrow and dangerous to drive. About 30-45min to drive. Nothing special. no proper view deck or something. Just a cafe.
not worth the risk of driving deep inside for it

A winding narrow drive to the beautiful verdant hills of manicured tea plantation. A crowded hike to the center for the cafe, gift shop, and scenic view.
You can find all things and all flavored teas.
This is the highlight of Cameron Highlands.

Love the place. Lovely place to go and see the entire estate on the view deck. The factory is open for visitors. Only thing the windy roads up to the plantation is very narrow. Drivers are at times too impatient and it can be dangerous especially on the rainy days. Care must be taken. To go to the viewing deck / guests are to walk up the stairs. Views are nice esp sitting by the windows drinking the tea with some bread.

We visited three tea plantations in Cameron Highlands in one day (a Friday) between Brinchang and Ringlet because the vistas of tea planted hills are impressive and what I remembered most from my last trip twenty-three years ago. Boh Tea Estate near Ringlet was the last one we visited. We ate and bought souvenirs at the first one but didn’t take any tours or factory visits. I enjoyed all three and would visit them all again.
This Boh Tea Estate near Ringlet is still a bit of a drive on a narrow road but it is not so torturous as that of the Boh Sungai Palas (by the same company) near Brinchang. You can park a lot closer and it is only a few minutes walk to the tea house which is much smaller, more of an open-air terrace cafe and a lot less crowded. It still has a small souvenir shop.
There is a steep path to a hill lookout near the cafe that leads to a covered pavilion with great views across not only the tea plantations but also more natural forests. Definitely the least-touristed and most natural tea plantation we visited that day.

Celebrating my man’s birthday ON the HIGH, drove up steep winding road toward the factory. The road condition and width is much better than expected and much better and safer than their Sungai Palas’ outlet.
Greeted by smiling staffs, but was informed that the factory tour is cancelled 😕because factory closed for 1 week due to low yield of tea leafs (harvest affected by unfavourable weather).
Not damped by the slight disappointment, we proceed to order our tea and snacks.
The lady over the counter recommended the originals instead of the flavoured ones -
1) Palas Supreme
2) Cameron Gold Blend (Leaves)
One pot each for 2 person.
We also ordered the Oreo Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake & the short bread.
My children said the cake was good;
We like the shortbread very much (better and cheaper than the one at Bharat Tea House TS2), so much that we bought 2 extra packets to bring back to Penang!
Since the other 3 members of my family were not interested in climbing to the high view point, I also didn’t do it 😂😂😂
We didn’t order their scone, too expensive (see attached picture).
We are heading to KHM Strawberries at Tanah Rata for our lunch, and they (in our opinion) serve the BEST of TASTE AND VALUE scones in the entire Cameron Highlands (YES! Much better than Smoke House and OMF).
p/s: KHM’s scones come with 4 scones and a pot of tea for RM17.
That’s all folks.... heading there now 😋😋😋

This is one of the nicer tea plantations that we visited in Cameron Highlands as it is not as crowded as the others.
The drive from Tanah rata took about 30 minutes.
We enjoyed the factory tour and ended the evening sipping tea at their beautiful open-air terrace overlooking the tea fields.
