Looking forward to a longer walk at interiors of Mossy Forest but was told its out of bounds and no tourist allowed due to reasons that the area has been earmarked for development! How sad! Our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable, enlightening us on the types of plants, eg "Tongkat Ali"

!!!! NOTE: ALL CAMERON HIGHLAND TRAILS (#1-14 or whatever the highest is) AS WELL AS THE MOSSY FOREST ARE CLOSED EVERY YEAR FROM NOVEMBER TO END OF JANUARY !!!! There is a huge red banner at the entrance point of the mossy forest basically blocking the entrance to the path. You cannot miss it (or claim you missed it....). The... More

Our guide was great, we got a small piece of the nature, climb the trees, stones, learn how to survive. Great activity!

It is very unfortunate that with more tourists, one gets more damage. It is still pretty, but I believe more must be done to protect the beautiful forests.

The forest is restricted in December and January, you can only walk around the boardwalk area and not onto the forest trail. It's free to go onto the boardwalk and takes about half an hour to walk around. It's really nice to see the views over all the hills and mountains (you are 2000 metres high up there). The forest... Note that the mossy forest is closed for the rainy season from 1 Nov 16 - 31 Jan 17. We were greatly disappointed after making the treacherous drive up there and were unable to get in. Unless of course, if you want to take the risk and climb over the barricade in - but that would entail breaking the law.

I brought my 3, 5(autistic), 7 years old kids up here at about 9am. Being a not-so-adventurous kind of family, my husband thought the drive up the curvy mountain roads was definitely challenging but we slowly got to the entrance of the Mossy Forest, ..and it was really cold! And misty. My 3 and 5 kids were being strapped to... More
